GAME SUMMARY
GAME 1 Coopersville Broncos Varsity nabbed the lead late in the game in a 2-1 victory over Fremont on Saturday.  The game was tied at one with Coopersville Broncos Varsity batting in the top of the seventh when Tyler Messock singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.   The pitching was strong on both sides. Messock struck out zero, while Fremont pitchers sat down 14.   Fremont got things moving in the second inning.  #44 drove in one when he singled.   In the top of the sixth inning, Coopersville Broncos Varsity tied things up at one when #24 threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Coopersville Broncos Varsity.   Messock earned the victory on the hill for Coopersville Broncos Varsity. He went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits and walking one.   #24 took the loss for Fremont. He allowed five hits and one run over five and two-thirds innings, striking out 12.   Ben Mcdonald, Trevor Dietrich, Nathaniel Brodi, Ben Devries, Messock, Jake Amshay, and Sam Serba each managed one hit to lead Coopersville Broncos Varsity. ———————— GAME 2 Coopersville Broncos Varsity lost the lead late in an 11-6 defeat to Ravenna on Saturday.  The game was tied at six with Ravenna batting in the top of the sixth when an error scored one run for Ravenna.   Despite the loss, Coopersville Broncos Varsity did collect nine hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Ravenna had seven hits on the way to victory.   Coopersville Broncos Varsity notched three runs in the fifth inning.  Coopersville Broncos Varsity scored its runs on an RBI single by Nathaniel Brodi.   #2 was the winning pitcher for Ravenna. He went six innings, allowing six runs on nine hits and striking out three.   Ben Devries took the loss for Coopersville Broncos Varsity. He surrendered nine runs on six hits over five and a third innings, striking out three and walking one.   Coopersville Broncos Varsity racked up nine hits in the game.  Devries and Joe Keefe all managed multiple hits for Coopersville Broncos Varsity.  Keefe and Devries all had two hits to lead Coopersville Broncos Varsity.  Coopersville Broncos Varsity tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Brodi led the way with two.   Ravenna tallied seven hits.  #9 and #44 all managed multiple hits for Ravenna.  Ravenna stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. #2 led the way with three.
